Echo: Anticipating Mouth, Answering Ear
During this performance I rolled through scrolls of striped fabric while violist Lauren Siess played a piece composed by Julie Harting based on our shared reading of Ovid's Echo and Narcissus. Between breaks in the fabric rolls I read behind the wall from a text I wrote thinking through Echo's role as an auditory mimic.
